Schwinn Double Stroller
Schwinn Free Wheeler ST
Double Jogging Stroller
The Schwinn Free Wheeler ST double jogging stroller is among
the finest options available. Like any other side by side
double stroller. This one may be a bit bulky or large. You may
not want to take this with you for trips to grocery stores with
narrow aisles. You wouldn’t mind the bulk though considering
that it has great features for a reasonable price.
This Schwinn double stroller rolls like a charm on nearly
any kind of surface. Its larger back wheels ensure that muddy
or pebbly surfaces are not an issue at all. Its front wheel is
of the swivel type, which makes it perfect for turning in any
kind of corner and space. That’s great maneuverability for a
double stroller. This is the stroller for you if you want to
keep your kids from feeling the bumps and you from struggling
on corners.
Aside from the great wheels, the Free Wheeler also has many
additional features. Parents can experience great convenience
with an adjustable handle bar that can protect you from muscle
strain. Its roomy basket and parent tray are great additions
too.
Your kids will especially love the seats. There’s just
enough room to squirm around and lots of head space for tall
kids. This double stroller also has its own canopy for sun
protection. An additional shield for the rain also comes with
the model, making it a convenient piece of equipment for both
sunny and overcast days.
At $255-$390 this stroller may seem like an expensive buy.
But this is a double stroller. Some single strollers fetch the
same price.
Schwinn Mark III Double Bike
Trailer and Jogging Stroller
You will love the idea behind this model. Now you can have a
bike trailer and stroller in just one product. For a mere
$239-$380, this double function is a genuine bargain. It comes
with special features that can make it convert easily from bike
to stroller.
The frame itself is made of aluminum with an outrigger for
stability. This makes the model both lightweight and tough. A
universal coupler can be attached quickly to a bike or you can
attach the handle instead for strolling. Its 20 inch wheels for
biking can be replaced by 16 inch wheels for jogging. Its
zipped weather shield is a great addition for weather
protection.
There are a couple of negative points about this Schwinn
double stroller. One top negative quality is its seat. There
are no cushions or pads on the seat so kids can have a tough
ride especially on bumpy or pebbly surfaces. It is also
slightly slanted so younger kids can slide forward toward the
safety belt. A final point against the seat is that it doesn’t
recline so kids who fall asleep can be at an uncomfortable
position.
There also seems to be an issue with safety. The safety belt
seems too flimsy for a bike-stroller combo. The structure
itself also tilts a bit when used for jogging or walking.
All in all, this may be a good product to use on slow walks
or rides on fairly smooth surfaces. You may not want to take
your chances with it on rougher terrain and on fast paced
rides.
